Films for July 2017

Friday July 7 : Doctor Strange 2017 Benedict Cumberbatch.   Superior Marvel magical superhero adventure.   4 star Critics Rating   Certificate 12 Runtime 1 hour 55 minutes.

Friday July 14: Jackie 2016 Natalie Portman. Biographical drama, depicting the First Lady in the days after President Kennedy’s assassination. This was nominated for Baftas and Oscars. 4 star critics rating Certificate: 15 Runtime: 1 hour 35 minutes

Friday July 21: Pete’s Dragon 2016 Animation. Very successful update of an old Disney favourite. 4 star critics rating Certificate PG Runtime 1 hour 43 minutes

Friday July 28: The Founder 2016 Michael Keaton. The amazing, if dubious, true story of how Ray Kroc, a salesman from Illinois turned a local burger restaurant into the billion dollar global empire of MacDonalds. 5 star critics rating Certificate 12 Runtime 1 hour 56 minutes

Doors open 7pm, shows start 7.30pm.
Membership allows you to come free to all films.

Membership is £10 per adult for the 2017 season or part season, running from January 1 2017 to December 31 2017.  All children free if with an adult member. Children of secondary school age may join as junior members (£5) to come without an adult. Admitted according to film certification. Memberships may be established or renewed at any time.

  • Weekly in the Village Hall, on Friday nights
  • High definition vision, cinema surround sound
  • Bar, soft drinks, ice cream, sweets and chocolate.
  • Disabled access.
  • Suggestions for suitable films welcomed from members.
  • All shows free to members.
  • Admission by membership card only.  New members welcomed at any time.
