The hall was built in 1957 and is run as a charitable company (No. 1143057).  It is a private trust managed by an elected committee on behalf  of the parish.  It is not funded by the council but through hiring fees, voluntary effort, fundraising initiatives, donations and grants.

It is home to a varying family of community groups and provides the parish with a number of services.  Its grounds are supported in the same way and are freely open for public use.

Hire charge:
Hall: £7 per hour
Ante Room:  (for small meetings) £5 per 2 hour session.

The hall may also be hired on highly favourable terms for private functions such as licensed parties.  The hall provides and staffs the bar.  No charge for hire, 20% of bar profits returned to hirer.   Higher return for charitable events.  Well equipped bar, with bottle chiller, fridges, running water, spirit optics and draught taps.

Spacious main hall, large curtained stage, changing room behind. Modern kitchen, heated gents and ladies toilets, decent decorative condition. Piano, ping pong tables, pool table, short mat bowls. Twenty 6’x2’ tables, 180 chairs. Radiators, radiant electrical heaters. Microphone and portable amp.  Full licence.

Outside: disabled ramp, level tarmac parking, well-equipped and maintained children’s play park and riverside picnic park.
